I miss the customization I had with Myspace that current social media is severely lacking! I want an aesthetically pleasing space to collect and display my adventures, research, and hobbies. I also want to continue using some sort of platform to corroborate my interests and potentially find mutual acquaintances who enjoy in the same pastimes. My current obsessions are home remedies from forgotten ingredients- natural herbs! Much of my research blogs will dive into my studies on natural herbs and agriculture.
Additionally, it has recently come to my attention that, in real time, I witnessed my reposts on a certain popular social media app disappear on my profile. And then I scrolled down my history of reposts to find that all of my political reposts are automatically removed after a certain period of time. Only the political posts. Unfortunately, it is true that popular social media platforms manipulate the narrative by tailoring our feeds.
I feel that I am not fully informed to the extent that I can write totally in depth about the details of the poor political climate, however I can provide resources to the research I perform with the limited spare time I have to do so.
